A Kenyan lady, Judith Wandera, 24, has been imprisoned for 15 years by a local court after she was found guilty of defiling a 16-year-old boy. Wandera was accused of defiling the minor on various dates, reports Standard Media. A prosecutor, Nyakundi Mukaya, told the court that medical evidence from a specimen collected from the duo confirmed that the woman and the schoolboy were having an intimate affair. He noted that the boy had been living with the accused for more than four months. The court heard that as a result of the affair, the minor dropped out of school and moved in with the accused before he was rescued by police officers. “The boy was rescued on July 7, 2017, and the accused was arrested by police officers,” said Mukaya. After the rescue, he said, the boy was taken to a correctional facility before he was released back to his parents. The parents of the boy told the court that their son stopped taking school seriously after he met the woman and they sought

ASSURANCE, ROYAL WEDDING AND A DEMON

by  Bayo Oyenuga I was really young when I saw Tolu Ogunleye 's mum watch Princess Diana's wedding. I couldn't understand why Aunt was so excited to see this lady in a ridiculous flowing gown. I saw the same look last Saturday, everywhere I went, even the most weather beaten Lagos touts looked on with admiration. Having lived in England in the past, describing Prince Harry did as 'breaking with protocol' has to be a gross understatement. In England there is class distinction. This distinction has always existed right from the colonial era. The English only sent their best out to the world to govern new colonies while the regular people remained back home. Breaking into the upper English society requires more than money, it's imbibing a certain culture and members of this class guard the gates quite viciously. There is a law called the one drop rule. This states that if you have one drop of blood of another race you are not white. That's why although Me

WIFE DIVORCES HUSBAND WHO SPONSORED HER FROM PRIMARY SCHOOL TO THE UNIVERSITY

A Zambian woman, Maria Tembo, has asked a local court for divorce from her husband of 20 years, after he educated her from primary school to the university level. Rather than issue the divorce, the court reprimanded and ordered Maria to pay her husband, Vincent Tembo, K10,000 (N364,626) for abandoning him after she had obtained a degree in teaching. In his evidence, the husband lamented before the court how his wife, who now “speaks English like an American,” abandoned him because of the college degree she  obtained  at his expense. The two tied the knot in 1997 and have two children.

LIBYAN RETURNEES SUE ITALY

Seventeen Nigerian migrants who survived a deadly sea crossing last year have filed a lawsuit against Italy for violating their rights by supporting Libya’s efforts to return them to North Africa, their lawyers said on Tuesday. The plaintiffs, two of whom have returned to Nigeria, petitioned the European Court of Human Rights last week, Violeta Moreno-Lax, a legal advisor for the Global Legal Action Network, told reporters. She was among four lawyers and several humanitarian groups involved in the case. The migrants, who were not identified, said Italy violated multiple articles of the European Convention on Human Rights, including that people not be subjected to torture, held in slavery, or have their lives put in danger. The two Nigerians said they were starved of even basic food and healthcare, before returning to Nigeria with the International Organization for Migration. All the plaintiffs were rescued at sea, but at least 20 migrants drowned when a part of their rubber
