BEAUTY KILLER

Image
Am I mad? Why would I ever wanna kill a woman as beautiful as this or any other woman for that matter? Every woman is beautiful and I feel it is absurd to kill something as beautiful as this. I'll worship her instead of killing her. Mtcheeeww!! This beautiful Air Force woman Solape Oladipupo was shot and killed on 12th March, 2017, by her Air Force boyfriend Ben Kalu. Kalu accused Solape of cheating. Huh! How can someone that is not married to you cheat on you? Solape Oladipupo was fondly called Shomzy. She has since been buried and Kalu is due to go on trial on Friday 19th May, 2017. Justice. RIP Shomzy.

BENEFITS OF ARGUMENTS IN MARRIAGE

Image
I hate arguing. I hate conflict. I hate emotional upset. I hate it when my partner is upset. I hate all the bad feelings that come up for me when arguing. I hate saying things I later regret. I hate hearing hurtful things my partner says. I hate using the word "hate" so much. Yes, I am conflict avoidant . Many people are, but not everyone. Some people actually like fighting. If you like fighting, you might want to stop reading, unless you want to peer into the experience of people who have a tough time in high conflict situations. The pre-eminent researchers on couples, John and Julie Gottman, say that how often one argues is not a determinant in the success of a marriage, but rather, it is how one argues. Respect is the defining variable. As long as couples respect each other, arguing in and of itself is not a threat to the relationship. If you are afraid of conflict and strong negative emotions, here are seven reasons why it is important to be able to successfully...

7 THINGS MEN NEED TO KNOW ABOUT WOMEN'S NIPPLES

Image
For the average man, a lady’s nipples are one of the areas of a woman’s body that can give men pleasure when touched or sucked. Yes, this is very true; but men also need to know a few things that happen to a woman’s nipples when it comes to sex, pregnancy, childbirth, etc. So, here you go… 1. Nipples are not decoration. You already knew that; but you also need to know that a woman’s nipples can be a warning that some serious health problems are there. For instance, as you romance your partner’s breasts, help her check to see that the nipples don’t have what looks like pockets (dimples) around them. If dimples occur around any of the breasts, it could be a warning sign for breast cancer. Tell her to see the doctor. 2. Nipple discharge is often normal , even when she isn’t pregnant or breastfeeding. Discharge can occur in most women if the nipple is squeezed, says a breast surgeon, Dr. Leah Gendler. But if you’re not squeezing, and especially if the discharge is bloody and/or ...

11 reasons you should date a journalist

Image
Sometimes last year, Tarana Arora did this story and it could not have been false save that perspectives differ. Thus, some people seemed to agree with a couple of the points raised even as some other people disagree with them. “Yes, it may not be easy peasy but who isn’t up for a challenge. It’s certainly not as dull as it is projected and dating a journalist can be quite an experience. Go ahead, read with an open mind and decide for yourself. Here’s hoping to change some mindsets,” Arora said. 1. They know the coolest places in town According to pop culture and stereotypical representation, journalists are considered to be dull, anti-social and full of themselves. However, reality paints a different picture. They get to attend the most happening events in town and even movie premieres. Who wouldn’t want to be their partner? 2. They are creative Of course, we are. We journos can spin creative, knowledgeable and engaging stories and this definitely extends beyond the realms ...

BISOLA CALLS NIGERIANS HYPOCRITES

Image
BIG BROTHER Naija 2017 1st runnerup, Bisola Aiyeola, simply known as  Bisola, has described those criticizing  the TV reality show as “hypocrites.” While the show was running,  many Nigerians described some of  its contents as obscene, calling on the  National Broadcasting Commission,  NBC, to halt it. They said it was extolling  immorality. While some filed court  cases just to see that the controversial  show was stopped, others took to the  media to condemn it. But reacting to the several calls,  the mother of one, during a radio interview on SoundCity FM, noted  that even religious shows get criticized. She said, “A lot of people  are hypocrites. Even if Big Brother  Naija was not on the air, it wouldn’t  change the fact that people still do  terrible things in the world.  “It would not change anything.  “Big Brother taught me a lot. It  made me a stronger person. People  w...

WHY NIGERIA BOXING FEDERATION REJECTED ANTHONY JOSHUA

Image
It could have all turned out differently for Anthony Oluwafemi Joshua, the new world boxing heavyweight champion. Back in 2008, Joshua, then a greenhorn boxing hopeful, harbored lofty ambitions to compete on the international stage. Born in Watford, 16 miles north of London, to parents of Nigerian origins, he contacted Nigeria’s boxing federation about possibly representing the country at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and was invited for a trial, aaccording to a story by ESPN. But after arriving late, with trials already wrapped up, Joshua was rejected and his short career as a Nigeria boxer ended before it even started. And fter defeating Wladimir Klitschko in London late on Saturday (April 29) to win the WBA and IBO heavyweight titles, in addition to his IBF title, many Nigerians couldn’t help but wonder if, had events in 2008 turned out differently, Joshua could have been fighting for Nigeria instead. For his part, Obisia Nwankpa, Nigeria’s boxing coach at the time, was una...
